Rector of the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, prof. ass. dr. Artan Nimani and Mr. Denis Spahija, Head of the Office of Foreign Relations, is virtually participating in the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of MCU and the start of # MCU2020, where the Magna Charta (MCU 2020) will be signed for the first time.

This event addresses the topic of "Environmental change faced by universities since 1988 and the challenges of the future - a global perspective".

The Magna Charta Observatory launched a discussion with its signatory universities and other bodies to ascertain how academic values can have the most impact within universities and the external structural contexts that shape them.

This led to the version that the Magna Charta should reflect the perspectives of leadership and the entire academic community, and should explicitly include concepts such as diversity, inclusion, social responsibility, and university citizenship.

The first session focuses on the changes that universities have faced, their implications and the challenges that universities face now and will face in the future. It then focuses on # MCU2020, the need for it, its structure, how it differs from its predecessor, and how universities can gain more value from engaging with it.

The event was attended by rectors, senior executives, deans, professors, students and national, regional and global bodies of higher education.
