Rector of the University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani", Prof. Ass. Dr. Artan Nimani signed a cooperation agreement with the national network NREN. The National Research and Education Network is assisting universities in developing innovation, research and education in Kosovo. Through this project, the connection with the international network GEANT will be made.

The Kosovo Research and Education Network (KREN) is an electronic communications services and services network with the mission of supporting and facilitating the demands of the scientific, educational and research community aiming at a digital transformation and fostering innovation.

The establishment of KREN is the second component of the KODE Project, which will initially operate within the Ministry of Economy and Environment, until its constitution as an independent entity.
