The University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova participates in the dissemination of the results of the STAND project

The STAND project - Strengthening university autonomy and increasing the accountability and transparency of Western Balkan universities, on 29.03.2024 at the Fan S. Noli University in Korça, presented the results achieved during the three years of implementation in the framework of the Consortium.

The University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova, as a project partner, was represented at this event by the Rector Professor Drilon Bunjaku, the vice-rector for International Relations and Projects, Nazli Tyfekçi, and the General Secretary Linda Dula Halilabazi.

The main purpose of this activity was to present the project beyond the Consortium partners, focusing on the main objective related to university autonomy. The challenges and objectives achieved by the project were presented in the presence of the staff of Fan S. Noli University in Korça and other partners from Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro by Professor Mihone Kerolli, Rector of the IBC-M Public College, at the same time Coordinator of the STAND project. Dr. Elona Karafili, vice-rector for Research and Internationalization at POLIS University, presented an overview of developments in higher education in Albania and their connection with the objectives of the STAND project.

At the center of this project are the processes and mechanisms of university autonomy, which aim to increase the managerial capacities, accountability and transparency of universities in the Western Balkans in the three target countries - Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro.
