University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova part of the Erasmus+ SMAHPC projectSMAHPC (Student-run Multi-Disciplinary Allied Health Center – Multidisciplinary Medical Center for Students) with a three-year duration, between 2019 - 2021. This project will be implemented through the creation of a new multidisciplinary center where students perform practice, based in a non-paternalistic and client/person oriented manner. Here students work directly with clients under the supervision of relevant professionals and teachers and work mentors, utilizing the latest technologies and modern practices of providing health/rehabilitation services.

The SMAHPC (Student-run Multidisciplinary Allied Health Practice Center) project is developed within the Erasmus+ program and aims to develop protocols based on international standards (ISO), ethical codes taking into account state and international legislation, as well as the functionalization of the multidisciplinary center including aspects related to infrastructure, clinical and innovation space with equipment, personnel (selection) and clients.

Participants in this 3-year project, in addition to the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova are Heimerer College, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from Finland, JAMK University of Applied Sciences also from Finland, Manisa Celal Bayar University, Gjilan University "Kadri Zeka", "Autism" NGO, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Kosovo, Institute of Southeast Europe related to Health and Social Policies

Within this project, in addition to direct involvement in each work package, the University "Fehmi Agani" in Gjakova will be responsible for the quality assurance package of the entire process.

 

Reflective workshop about the achievements of the SMAHPC project

SMAHPC (Student-run Multi-Disciplinary Allied Health Center) marks the dates September 15-18 as a reflection on the achievements, where the workshop agenda is offered with the relevant days and hours of the activities of this center, such as:

Reflection; needs and experiences, as well as the key role of students and professors in learning, practice and accompanying challenges;

Pedagogical methods and support spheres of professors in relation to students and strategic partners;

Discussion about processes and guidelines on how to identify key skills and knowledge about competencies etc.
